Summary: "decent vacuum for the price"

Overall, this vacuum is great. Good suction, easy to empty and clean. The only major thing wrong with this model (and i say major because it bothers me every time i vacuum) is that the attachment hose is far too short. I move two steps away with hose in hand and the vacuum is falling over behind me.

Summary: "Horrible"

I had to clean the same spot many times over and over - at the end I pick with my hands the tiny little crumbs. It is meaningless to push that heavy body vacuum cleaner for nothing! It clogs easily after 5 minutes of cleaning for no reason and starts blowing in your face all the dust! Also it developed a disgusting smell inside, although I was cleaning it properly- so as soon as you start vacuuming it stinks the carpet and the room right away. I had to call prfessionals to remove the smell. I threw it in the garage, but now it stinks there - it will go in the garbage.

It is better to use vacuum cleaners with paper bags - it is far more hygienic. And absolutely easier to use the light rolling ones, that are used for hard floors- they have a great power to clean a carpet too.
I would like to recommend to the vaccuum cleaner factories to make another design - with this upright one you have to push the entire body for every move on the carpet?! Why? - It is so much easier just to move the hose :)

Summary: "Low quality, no support"

The belt of my 3-week-old vacuum cleaner broke for no particular reason. Bissell told me I would have to go buy a new belt as the belt is not covered by the warranty -- even though this was a nearly brand-new vacuum.

Also, I notice that even with light use, the vacuum becomes quite dirty and requires a lot of attention to get the dirt out of all the various parts. You need a vacuum to clean up from cleaning the vacuum.

I sincerely regret buying this vacuum cleaner and would never buy another Bissell product.

Summary: "Pleased & Great Deal"

After reading a lot of reviews of vacuums under $100 bucks, I selected this Bissell. The only fault, which I knew in advance, is that if using the hand-held brush, the main beater bar continues rotating. Not a problem for me, but others have complained it has worn spots in their carpet.

So far I'm very pleased, no complaints, really cleans the carpet, including carpet that had been cleaned with my old vacuum. Dirt cup is easy to empty and no clogging of the hose that feeds the dirt into the cup, a problem with my old vac.

I do find that frequent adjusting of the carpet height knob is required when changing from flat berber-type carpet to plush. If not, the vacuum is extremely difficult to push. This is to be expected, but some higher-end vacs automatically adjust.

I will recommend this vac, and since I paid under $80.00 delivered, it was a tremendous value.

Summary: "Great Vacuum"

The vacuum arrived quickly after ordering, was easy to assemble, and works great! It picks up cat hair, cat food, and anything else on our rugs. The only problem is that the capacity of the canister is a small, I empty after almost every use. Otherwise it's easy to use and was a great purchase.
